Celebrating the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan as a family, Ma’aden employees gathered during the annual Iftar gatherings hosted by the company for its staff in Riyadh, Ras Al Khair and Wa’ad Al Shamal. In line with its core value of Care, the gatherings provided an opportunity for the company to share its appreciation to all employees as well as promote social interaction and cooperation among the staff across the organization. The events were attended by Ma’aden President and CEO Eng. Khalid Al Mudaifer and other senior leaders and executives.
In his message to staff, Eng. Al Mudaifer wished everyone a peaceful Ramadan and reminded employees to remain committed to living the company’s core values and continue their focus on safety.
The CEO also underlined the company’s recent milestones and achievements as champions of the Saudi mining sector including the start of commercial production at Jabal Sayid and Ad Duwayhi mine, the inauguration of Ad Duwayhi mine by the Makkah Governor, Prince Khalid Al Faisal and the annual Makkah Award for Economic Excellence won by Ad Duwayhi project.
Eng. Al Mudaifer also congratulated the MPC team for winning the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council and for achieving record production, reducing cost and reaching new global markets for our phosphate fertilizer.
Moreover, he added that Ma’aden Aluminium has reached commercial production at Al Ba’itha and the refinery, while the rolling mill team is making good progress towards qualifying our rolled products with a variety of new buyers. Looking forward, Engr. Al Mudaifer highlighted that Ma’aden will soon be able to reach the start-up of production at the Ma’aden Wa’ad Al Shamal Phosphate Company.
“I congratulate the entire team for delivering these milestones, and for delivering record production. I want to thank each of you for your dedication and commitment,” the CEO said.
In Riyadh and Wa’ad Al Shamal, employees also celebrated the contributions and dedication of long-serving employees during the Service Awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Iftar gathering. On behalf of the entire Ma’aden executive, Eng. Al Mudaifer thanked the awardees for their hard work and commitment.
